Project Spotlight: Teachers in Residence Bioeconomy Event

Maynooth University presented at the Teachers in Residence Bioeconomy event on December 5, 2024, hosted by CÚRAM and Biorbic

Dr Máire Nic an Bhaird, Dr Laoise Ní Chléirigh and James Lowry passionately presented the innovative BioBeo project to an enthusiastic audience of primary and secondary school teachers.

Our team had the pleasure of sharing insights into the fascinating world of the bioeconomy with a fantastic group of educators. The interactive session allowed us to delve into the core of the BioBeo project, highlighting its significance in environmental sustainability, education, and beyond.

A special highlight of the evening was the enchanting performance of the BioBeo song by James Lowry. The teachers were captivated by the melodic ode to the bioeconomy, adding a creative and musical touch to the event. For those who missed the live rendition, you can catch the BioBeo song on YouTube

The online event was brimming with energy and enthusiasm! We were thrilled to witness the genuine interest and curiosity of the teachers as they explored the possibilities and importance of the bioeconomy. The dynamic exchange of ideas made the evening truly memorable for everyone involved.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Teachers in Residence Bioeconomy event organisers and participants for the warm reception. Presenting the BioBeo project and engaging with such a dedicated group of educators was a pleasure, and we look forward to further collaborations and knowledge-sharing opportunities in the future.
